What is E Rate?
All Non-Profit schools both public and private qualify for discounts ranging from 20% through 90% based upon their degree of economic deprivation.
The E Rate program is based on a Funding year of July 1 through June 30 and the application process starts NOW and must be completed prior to the end of January.
Do not let your school go another year without receiving the discounts that you qualify for. All schools must apply to the E Rate program on a yearly basis to receive their eligible discounts.
There are two priorities that receive funding:
Priority One items include:
- Basic telephone service
- Cellular service
- Long-distance service
- Internet access service
- Private line service
- Email Service
- Web Hosting
- Distance Learning
Priority Two items include:
- Internal connections
- Telephone systems
- Wiring
- Installations
- Maintenance
- Networking equipment
- Network software
